Thank you Dentistry for Children! My children look forward to their bi-annual visits with great excitement. How lucky we are to have found a great pediatric dentistry practice where we have the up-most confidence in the care our children receive and where our children love to come. It makes what could be a challenging or even traumatic experience pleasurable and fun for all!

We cannot recommend Dr. Boyd’s dental and orthodontic practice highly enough! Years ago a friend mentioned to us that Dr. Boyd and his staff are beyond excellent in dealing with children with special needs and the complicated orthodontic work these kids might need. We immediately made an appointment for our daughter (with Down syndrome). As a toddler and young child she was extremely frightened, even with simple cleanings, and Dr. Boyd and his staff were amazingly patient, putting up with all kinds of fits, and their patience did wonders to calm her.

Now our daughter Quincy is a teenager. She actually looks forwards to visits with Dr. Boyd, something we could never have dreamed of years ago. Kids with Down syndrome tend to have a variety of fairly serious orthodontic issues, and Quincy is no exception. Dr. Boyd has corrected Quincy’s underbite, widened her narrow palate, and is now working on straightening the teeth. The results have been awesome!

Our family has been so impressed with the practice that Quincy’s younger brother and her mother have signed up as patients. Along with regular dental visits, Quincy’s mom is now embarking on an orthodontic adventure to correct a bite that’s been off for 40-plus years. So far so good!

Dentistry For children. Yeah, I’m a married 23 year old…but I have went to a pediatric dentist since, well…forever. I lived in Southern Indiana my whole life until moving to Chicago about 11 months ago. One of my biggest fears was switching from all my hometown doctors…my general practitioner that delivered me, the dentist who pulled my first tooth, and so on (you get the idea)…Check dentist off the list. I’m right at home at Dentistry for Children.

Now, I don’t like to go to the dentist. I mean does anyone really like to go to the dentist? I believe since we all have to go to the dentist, why should you not be able to read a nice children’s book and color on a chalkboard wall before getting in the dreaded chair. Luckily for me, Dr. Janet is a great adult dentist in a kid-like atmosphere. The staff is also excellent. I always have Dragana for my prep and she is super friendly and great at her job.

I always feel like Dr. Janet and Dragana explain what they are doing and what is going on with my teeth. I’ve actually learned a thing or two about teeth and how to look at my teeth on the machine. Score.

So if I had children, I would definitely recommend Dr. Boyd and Dr. Janet at Dentistry for Children. But until then, I’ll just take myself to Dentistry for Children and color while I wait!
